Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking a passionate and driven Sales Consultant to join our vibrant retail team in Rutherglen, Glasgow. Key Responsibilities

  • Actively engage with customers on the sales floor, providing friendly and professional assistance.
  • Understand customer needs and preferences to recommend suitable products and services.
  • Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Achieve individual and team sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of all products, promotions, and store policies.
  • Ensure the store is visually appealing, well-stocked, and merchandising standards are upheld.
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints efficiently and courteously.
  • Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and cycle counts.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance sales skills and product knowledge.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a cohesive and productive work environment.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of proven experience in a retail sales or customer service role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets and objectives.
  • Strong customer-centric approach and effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using POS systems and handling cash/card transactions accurately.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Energetic, positive, and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience selling products within a specific retail sector (e.g., electronics, fashion, home goods).
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Retail Skills or Customer Service, or equivalent qualification.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and retail operational procedures.
  • A genuine passion for the products sold by the retail chain and an eagerness to learn.
