Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of patients for CT examinations, explaining procedures and addressing any concerns.
- Accurately position patients for various CT scans, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Operate CT scanning equipment under direct supervision, selecting appropriate protocols for optimal image quality.
- Monitor patients during scans, recognizing and responding to changes in their condition.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation related to imaging procedures.
- Ensure strict adherence to radiation safety protocols for both patients and staff.
- Clean and maintain CT equipment and scan rooms, ensuring a sterile and organized environment.
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists, radiographers, and other healthcare team members.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Provide compassionate and respectful care to all patients, upholding confidentiality at all times.
Required Skills
- BSc (Hons) in Radiography or equivalent qualification.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or eligible for registration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Commitment to patient safety and well-being.
Preferred Qualifications
