Key Responsibilities
- Manage and process music licensing requests across various media, ensuring all necessary rights are cleared.
- Draft, review, and negotiate licensing agreements (e.g., synchronization, mechanical, master use, public performance) with accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure strict compliance with copyright laws, contractual agreements, and company policies.
- Maintain and update comprehensive rights management databases, accurately documenting ownership, rights, and licensing terms.
- Track and reconcile royalty statements, ensuring timely and accurate payments to rights holders.
- Conduct thorough research into copyright ownership and chain of title for musical works.
- Liaise effectively with artists, publishers, record labels, legal counsel, and external partners regarding licensing inquiries and disputes.
- Provide guidance and support to internal teams on copyright and licensing matters.
- Assist in the development and implementation of best practices for rights management and intellectual property protection.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in music licensing, copyright administration, or a related field.
