Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and adjust packaging machinery according to production specifications and safety guidelines.
  • Perform routine quality checks on packaged products, ensuring they meet company standards and client requirements.
  • Load raw materials and packaging components onto production lines.
  • Monitor inventory levels of packaging materials and report shortages.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering strictly to health and safety regulations.
  • Complete production logs and documentation accurately and timely.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets.
  • Identify and report any production or quality discrepancies to senior staff.
  • Assist with changeovers and setups of production lines as required.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Packaging Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot packaging machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
  • Excellent understanding of health and safety procedures in a factory setting.
  • Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills for record-keeping.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Forklift license (counterbalance or reach truck).
  • Experience with HACCP or other food safety standards (if applicable to product).
  • Formal training or certification in machine operation or industrial safety.
  • Prior experience in FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) sector.
