Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examination of public records to determine property ownership and identify potential title defects.
- Analyze deeds, mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, and other instruments impacting real property.
- Prepare detailed title commitments, endorsements, and policies in accordance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and resolve complex title issues, encumbrances, and exceptions through research and collaboration with legal counsel.
- Communicate proactively with clients, attorneys, lenders, and real estate professionals regarding title status and requirements.
- Review surveys, plats, and legal descriptions for accuracy and consistency.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all title examinations and related documentation.
- Stay updated on relevant real estate laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Provide support to underwriting and closing departments as needed.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Title Insurance Analyst or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of title insurance principles, practices, and regulations.
