Key Responsibilities
- Interpret design sketches, technical flats, and specifications to create accurate first patterns.
- Develop and refine patterns to ensure proper fit, aesthetic, and construction feasibility.
- Collaborate closely with designers, sample makers, and production teams to achieve desired outcomes.
- Conduct initial fittings, identify issues, and make necessary pattern adjustments.
- Utilize both manual pattern-making techniques and basic CAD software for pattern development and digitization.
- Maintain organized pattern libraries and documentation for all styles.
- Ensure all patterns adhere to company standards for quality and production efficiency.
- Assist in the preparation of patterns for production, including basic pattern grading under supervision.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of garment construction and sewing techniques.
- Foundational knowledge of pattern-making principles (dart manipulation, slopers, etc.).
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and meticulously.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Manual dexterity and a keen eye for proportion and balance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or certification in Fashion Design, Pattern Making, or a related field.
