Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespersons and senior utility technicians with various tasks, including installation, maintenance, and repair of utility systems.
- Prepare job sites by setting up equipment, gathering tools, and ensuring materials are readily available.
- Perform manual labor such as digging trenches, backfilling, lifting, carrying, and moving heavy materials and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tools, vehicles, and job sites.
- Adhere strictly to all safety policies, procedures, and regulations at all times.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision, learning proper techniques and safety precautions.
- Assist with routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks on utility infrastructure.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and the public.
- Support emergency response efforts as directed, ensuring prompt and safe resolution.
