Hiring.zycto is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our dedicated Public Works team as an Entry Role Laborer in Chandler Heights. Key Responsibilities
- Perform general manual labor tasks to support public works projects, including street maintenance, park upkeep, and utility work.
- Assist in the repair and maintenance of roads, sidewalks, storm drains, and other municipal infrastructure.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision, such as shovels, rakes, jackhammers, and compactors.
- Participate in the setup and breakdown of work zones, including placing traffic control devices and ensuring site safety.
- Load and unload materials and equipment, transport them to and from work sites, and ensure proper storage.
- Support landscaping and groundskeeping efforts in public parks and facilities, including mowing, trimming, and litter removal.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and departmental policies while performing duties, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Required Skills
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Basic communication skills to interact effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Valid Arizona Driver's License (or ability to obtain one within a specified period).
