Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking a talented and highly motivated Animation Artist to join our dynamic remote team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative individual who excels in bringing characters, objects, and environments to life through compelling animation. As an Animation Artist, you will play a crucial role in developing high-quality visual content for a variety of projects, including digital media, interactive experiences, and potentially short-form narratives. You’ll work closely with art directors, concept artists, and other team members to translate ideas and storyboards into polished, engaging animations that resonate with our target audiences.
We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of animation principles, excellent technical skills, and a keen eye for detail. Your work will involve everything from keyframe animation to motion graphics, ensuring fluid movement and expressive character performances. The ideal candidate will be adept at working independently in a remote setting, managing their time effectively, and communicating proactively with the team. You’ll contribute to establishing and maintaining animation style guides, participating in feedback sessions, and continuously improving workflows. Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality 2D and/or 3D animations for various digital platforms and projects.
- Collaborate with art directors and designers to conceptualize and execute animation sequences based on storyboards and creative briefs.
- Ensure character and object movements are fluid, expressive, and adhere to established style guides.
- Integrate animation assets into project pipelines, ensuring technical specifications are met.
- Participate in creative reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Manage personal workload and project deadlines effectively in a remote work environment.
- Stay updated with industry trends, software, and best practices in animation.
- Troubleshoot animation issues and optimize assets for performance and visual quality.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in industry-standard animation software (e.g., Adobe Animate, After Effects, Maya, Blender, Toon Boom Harmony).
- Strong portfolio showcasing diverse animation styles and technical abilities.
- Solid understanding of animation principles (timing, spacing, anticipation, squash and stretch, etc.).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, especially in a remote setting.
- Ability to work independently, manage time, and meet deadlines.
- Experience with both character animation and motion graphics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Animation, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) for animation integration.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, MEL) for animation tools.
- Experience with visual effects (VFX) or particle systems.
- Strong drawing and storyboarding abilities.
