Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end process of label generation, printing, and application for various products and shipments.
- Ensure all labels adhere strictly to internal company standards, client specifications, and relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., hazmat, international shipping, product identification).
- Coordinate with logistics, warehouse, and production teams to gather accurate data necessary for label creation.
- Maintain and update label databases, templates, and specifications, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
- Perform quality checks on printed labels to verify accuracy of information, barcodes, and formatting.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any labeling discrepancies or issues promptly to minimize operational delays.
- Implement and document standardized labeling procedures to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
- Train new team members on labeling processes and best practices.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and changes in labeling regulations to ensure continuous compliance.
- Assist in inventory reconciliation efforts related to product labeling.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (3+ years) in an operations, logistics, or data entry role, preferably involving labeling or product identification.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Proficiency with label printing software and systems (e.g., BarTender, ZebraDesigner, or similar).
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data management and analysis.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with ERP or WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) related to inventory or product data.
- Familiarity with various types of labels (e.g., RFID, UPC, QR codes) and industrial labeling equipment.
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs labeling requirements, and dangerous goods labeling.
- Certification in supply chain management or logistics (e.g., CSCP, CPIM).
