Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas, both on foot and via surveillance systems, to deter crime and ensure safety.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, and control entry/exit of personnel and visitors.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, disturbances, and security incidents, escalating as necessary.
  • Document and report all incidents, suspicious activities, and safety hazards accurately and thoroughly.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to staff, visitors, and the public.
  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain a visible presence to ensure a secure and orderly environment.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services during critical situations.

Required Skills

  • Must possess a valid Quebec Security Guard License (or be able to obtain one prior to employment).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent observational and communication skills (verbal and written) in both French and English.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, and perform duties in various weather conditions.
  • Strong sense of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer proficiency for report writing and surveillance monitoring.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or a related field.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Knowledge of local security protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Familiarity with the Old Quebec area.
