Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas, both on foot and via surveillance systems, to deter crime and ensure safety.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, and control entry/exit of personnel and visitors.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, disturbances, and security incidents, escalating as necessary.
- Document and report all incidents, suspicious activities, and safety hazards accurately and thoroughly.
- Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to staff, visitors, and the public.
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Maintain a visible presence to ensure a secure and orderly environment.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services during critical situations.
Required Skills
- Must possess a valid Quebec Security Guard License (or be able to obtain one prior to employment).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent observational and communication skills (verbal and written) in both French and English.
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, and perform duties in various weather conditions.
- Strong sense of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing and surveillance monitoring.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or a related field.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Knowledge of local security protocols and emergency procedures.
