Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking a diligent and meticulous Cash Office Assistant for an immediate start in Farnley, Leeds. This crucial full-time role involves the precise handling, reconciliation, and processing of cash and financial transactions within our dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately count, reconcile, and process daily cash takings and other financial transactions.
  • Prepare cash for banking and ensure timely deposits, adhering strictly to company procedures.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all cash movements, potential discrepancies, and their swift resolution.
  • Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting and reconciliation processes, ensuring precision.
  • Ensure strict adherence to company cash handling policies, security procedures, and relevant financial regulations.
  • Investigate and resolve cash discrepancies promptly and efficiently, documenting findings.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations and query resolution.
  • Manage petty cash, ensuring proper record-keeping, disbursement, and regular reconciliation.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a cash handling or administrative financial role (minimum 6 months).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
  • Strong numeracy skills and proficiency in basic arithmetic calculations.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive team interactions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data entry and reporting.
  • Demonstrated integrity, trustworthiness, and a commitment to confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with till systems or point-of-sale (POS) software.
  • Previous experience within a retail or similar customer-facing environment.
  • A foundational understanding of basic accounting principles.
