Hiring.zycto is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Landscape Laborers to join our team for the upcoming season in Mill Woods, Edmonton. As a Landscape Laborer, you will be an integral part of our crew, performing a variety of tasks essential to delivering high-quality results for our clients.

You’ll operate a range of landscaping equipment, from hand tools to power machinery, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Perform general landscape maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, weeding, mulching, and pruning.
- Assist with planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and other vegetation.
- Prepare garden beds and new planting areas through soil cultivation and amendment.
- Operate and maintain various landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment from vehicles.
- Support hardscaping projects, including paver installation, stone work, and retaining wall construction, as directed.
- Ensure job sites are kept clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies.
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently and to high standards.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding project progress and any issues.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of landscape maintenance techniques or a willingness to learn.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License (an asset, but not strictly required for all positions).
- Comfortable operating various landscaping equipment (or quick to learn).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6 months – 1 year) in landscaping, horticulture, or a related outdoor field.
- Experience operating power tools common in landscaping.
- Knowledge of local plant species and common landscaping practices in Alberta.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Horticultural training or certification.
