Hiring.zycto is excited to recruit on behalf of a premier ski resort near London, Ontario, for dedicated and dynamic Ski Resort Instructors for the upcoming winter season. As a Ski Resort Instructor, you’ll be at the heart of our guest experience, responsible for delivering engaging, safe, and effective ski lessons tailored to individual and group needs.
We are looking for individuals who not only possess excellent skiing skills but also demonstrate patience, enthusiasm, and strong communication abilities. You will guide beginners through their first turns, help intermediate skiers refine their technique, and challenge advanced riders to reach new heights. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, engaging ski lessons to individuals and groups of varying skill levels and ages.
- Ensure the safety of all students by adhering strictly to resort safety guidelines and best practices.
- Assess student abilities and adapt teaching methods to meet their specific learning needs and goals.
- Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to help students improve their skiing technique.
- Maintain a professional, enthusiastic, and positive demeanor at all times.
- Assist with lesson registration, equipment setup, and group organization as required.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development sessions.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and fellow resort staff.
- Be knowledgeable about resort services, facilities, and terrain to assist guests with inquiries.
Required Skills
- Proficient skiing ability on various terrain, including intermediate slopes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying winter weather conditions for extended periods.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications
- CSIA Level 1 (or higher) Ski Instructor certification.
- Previous experience teaching skiing or other sports.
- Experience working with children and diverse age groups.
- Fluency in additional languages.
