Job Description
This role calls for a dedicated and vigilant Industrial Security professional to join our team at a critical warehouse facility in Downtown, Toronto. As an Industrial Security – Warehouse specialist, you will be the frontline guardian of our assets, personnel, and operational integrity. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of warehouse premises, both internal and external, to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
- Monitor and operate CCTV systems, alarm systems, and other security technologies to detect and deter suspicious activities.
- Control access points, verify credentials of personnel and visitors, and manage the entry/exit of vehicles and goods.
- Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms, including fire, medical emergencies, and unauthorized entries.
- Investigate security breaches, prepare detailed incident reports, and gather evidence for further action.
- Enforce company security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance by all staff, contractors, and visitors.
- Conduct routine safety checks and identify potential hazards, reporting them to management for resolution.
- Collaborate with warehouse management to review and enhance existing security protocols and implement new strategies.
- Provide clear and concise communication regarding security matters to staff, management, and emergency services.
- Maintain accurate logs of all security-related activities, observations, and incidents.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in industrial security, warehouse security, or a similar high-stakes environment.
- Valid Security Guard License in Ontario.
- Proficiency in operating CCTV surveillance systems and access control technologies.
- Strong knowledge of security protocols, emergency response procedures, and loss prevention strategies.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive incident reports.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities under pressure.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Physical fitness to perform duties including extended periods of standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
Preferred Qualifications
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience with integrated security management systems.
- Knowledge of supply chain security best practices.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead security role.
