Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company vehicle to deliver packages to various locations within Montreal, primarily Villeray and surrounding areas.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
- Load, unload, and organize packages in the delivery vehicle.
- Verify the accuracy of delivery orders with customers and obtain necessary signatures.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving minor issues professionally.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle logs.
- Handle cash or electronic payments as required, if applicable.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 5 Quebec Driver's License (or equivalent).
- Clean driving record with no major infractions in the past 3 years.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs (22 kg).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic proficiency in English or French (bilingualism is an asset).
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Montreal city streets and navigation (especially Villeray area).
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
