Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and experienced AWS Engineer to join our dynamic and fully remote team. As an AWS Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will be responsible for building and maintaining robust, automated, and secure cloud environments, working closely with development and operations teams. This role demands proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, along with strong scripting abilities to automate routine tasks and enhance operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, highly available, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS.
  • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Automate deployment, monitoring, and operational tasks through scripting (Python, Bash) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Monitor AWS infrastructure for performance, cost optimization, and security compliance.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate new applications and services into the AWS environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to AWS services, networking, and security.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices across all AWS resources.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide support for critical infrastructure.
  • Stay current with new AWS services, features, and industry best practices.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, RDS, IAM, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch).
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages for automation.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline).
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Load Balancing) within AWS.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS).
  • Deep knowledge of AWS security best practices and compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fully remote team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional.
  • Experience with serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB).
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
  • Experience with data engineering services on AWS (e.g., Kinesis, Glue, Redshift, Athena).
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
