Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a personal vehicle to pick up and drop off Lyft passengers.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a pleasant and comfortable ride experience.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and Lyft's safety guidelines and terms of service.
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle suitable for passenger transport.
- Utilize the Lyft driver app efficiently for navigation, trip acceptance, and earnings tracking.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with passengers.
- Be punctual for pickups and adhere to estimated arrival times.
- Demonstrate strong navigation skills within the Summerhill, Toronto area and greater GTA.
Required Skills
- Valid G Class Driver's License (or equivalent) in Ontario for at least one year.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Access to a 4-door vehicle that meets Lyft's requirements (year, make, model, condition).
- Proof of vehicle registration and insurance.
- Ability to pass a background check and driving record check.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with smartphone applications and GPS navigation.
- Strong commitment to passenger safety and customer satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in ride-sharing or professional driving roles.
- In-depth knowledge of Toronto's streets and local areas, especially Summerhill.
- Fluency in multiple languages is an asset.
