Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Welder Fabricator to join our dedicated team in Lambton, Toronto. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform various welding processes, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, on diverse materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
  • Fabricate complex metal structures and components by cutting, grinding, shaping, and assembling using various tools and machinery.
  • Interpret and work from engineering blueprints, sketches, and schematics to determine project specifications and material requirements.
  • Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  • Operate and maintain fabrication machinery, including press brakes, shears, saws, and grinders, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Collaborate effectively with engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure project timelines and goals are met.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 4 years of proven experience as a Welder Fabricator in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes.
  • Ability to read and accurately interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
  • Strong knowledge of various metal properties and appropriate welding techniques for different materials.
  • Proficiency in operating fabrication equipment (e.g., press brake, shear, saw, grinder).
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Solid understanding of shop safety practices and procedures.
  • CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau) certification in multiple positions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education or trade certification in Welding, Fabrication, or a related field.
  • Experience with overhead cranes and forklifts (certification preferred).
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to mentor junior welders or apprentices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
