Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport packages to customers on designated routes.
- Load and unload packages accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper handling.
- Follow planned delivery routes and schedules, ensuring timely and complete deliveries.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, addressing inquiries as needed.
- Utilize handheld devices for route navigation, package scanning, and delivery confirmation.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety standards and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained delivery vehicle.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor delivery issues independently, escalating complex situations to management.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, including documentation of any issues or discrepancies.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 5 (or equivalent) driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet tight delivery schedules.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for positive customer interactions.
- Comfortable working independently and efficiently in various weather conditions.
- Basic proficiency with smartphone applications and GPS navigation systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
