Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking a motivated and reliable Masonry Laborer to join our dynamic team in Toronto. As a Masonry Laborer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our skilled masons, ensuring smooth operations on job sites, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled masons with various tasks, including mixing mortar, cutting bricks/blocks, and preparing materials.
- Load, unload, and transport masonry materials such as bricks, blocks, stone, sand, and cement to designated work areas.
- Prepare job sites by setting up scaffolding, cleaning work areas, and ensuring a safe and organized environment.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Perform general site clean-up and material organization throughout the workday.
- Help with the demolition of existing masonry structures when required.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in construction or a related field.
- Physical strength and stamina to perform demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and standing for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety protocols.
- Reliable transportation to various job sites across Toronto.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions diligently.
- Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience specifically in masonry work or as a labourer on a masonry crew.
- Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Working at Heights training.
