Hiring.zycto is actively seeking dedicated and reliable Night Shift Delivery Drivers to join our dynamic logistics team in Kirkland, Montreal. As a Night Shift Delivery Driver, you will be a critical link in our supply chain, ensuring that packages and goods reach their destinations safely and on time throughout the Montreal area. Your role goes beyond just driving; it involves meticulous attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of service. You’ll be responsible for picking up shipments from our distribution center, planning optimal delivery routes for efficiency, and executing timely deliveries to various clients, businesses, and residential addresses.
We provide you with a well-maintained vehicle and the necessary tools to succeed, including advanced navigation systems. You will play an integral part in conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and functionality, maintaining accurate delivery logs, and communicating effectively with our dispatch team regarding any delays or issues encountered. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport various goods and packages during night shifts.
- Follow planned delivery routes and adjust as necessary for efficiency and timeliness.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance needs.
- Load and unload delivery items with care, ensuring proper handling and security.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle mileage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route progress, delays, or issues.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and transportation regulations.
- Provide professional and courteous service during all interactions with clients and recipients.
- Handle unexpected situations or route changes with professionalism and efficiency.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 5 driver's license (Quebec).
- Clean driving record (abstract required).
- Proven ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency with GPS devices and route optimization applications.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of professional driving experience, particularly in night shifts.
- Familiarity with the Montreal and West Island road networks.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is a strong asset.
- Previous experience in a customer service-oriented role.
