As a Casino Shift Manager Trainee, you will undergo comprehensive training across various departments, gaining firsthand experience in table games, slots, cage operations, and guest services. You will learn the nuances of gaming regulations, security protocols, responsible gaming practices, and the critical art of managing a diverse team to deliver an unforgettable experience to our patrons. Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in a structured training program covering all aspects of casino operations, including gaming, cage, and guest services.
  • Shadow experienced Casino Shift Managers to observe and learn effective leadership, decision-making, and operational strategies.
  • Learn and strictly adhere to all relevant gaming regulations, company policies, and internal control procedures.
  • Assist with the day-to-day supervision of casino staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Develop a strong understanding of game rules, payout procedures, and basic security measures across all gaming areas.
  • Engage with guests, resolve inquiries, and address minor concerns to ensure a superior customer experience.
  • Monitor casino floor activities, identify potential issues, and escalate complex situations to senior management.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, secure, and compliant gaming environment.
  • Prepare basic operational reports and contribute to shift handover procedures, ensuring seamless transitions between shifts.
  • Support the team in various administrative and operational tasks as needed to maintain efficiency and service quality.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to new systems and procedures.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with a natural aptitude for guest interaction.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by a 24/7 operation.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be 19 years of age or older (or legal gaming age in Ontario).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service, hospitality, or retail environment.
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • A genuine interest in the gaming industry and a desire for career progression and leadership.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages is considered an asset, enhancing guest communication.
