Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in a structured training program designed to familiarize you with all aspects of intermodal operations, including rail, truck, and ocean freight.
  • Shadow senior Intermodal Operations Managers to learn best practices in planning, execution, and problem-solving.
  • Assist in coordinating daily logistics activities, including tracking shipments, managing schedules, and updating clients.
  • Learn to utilize our transportation management systems (TMS) and other software tools for data entry, analysis, and reporting.
  • Support the team in communicating with carriers, drayage companies, and rail yards to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
  • Help resolve operational issues, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies, under the guidance of experienced managers.
  • Contribute to maintaining accurate records and documentation for all intermodal movements.
  • Develop a foundational understanding of industry regulations, safety protocols, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure client satisfaction and operational alignment.
  • Proactively identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains within the operations workflow.
