Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of residential properties, identifying and reporting any suspicious activities or security breaches.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems, responding promptly to alerts and potential threats.
- Control access points, verifying identity of visitors and contractors as per established procedures.
- Document and report all incidents, disturbances, or unusual occurrences accurately and thoroughly in daily logs.
- Provide assistance to residents and visitors with security-related inquiries or concerns, maintaining a friendly yet professional demeanor.
- Enforce property rules and regulations to maintain a safe and orderly environment for all residents.
- Respond to emergency situations, including medical emergencies, fires, and alarms, following proper protocols and contacting appropriate authorities.
- Collaborate effectively with other security personnel, property management, and local law enforcement as needed to ensure coordinated security efforts.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent observational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure or emergency situations.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing and monitoring security systems.
- Ability to walk, stand, and perform duties outdoors for extended periods, regardless of weather conditions.
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a customer service, security, or public-facing role.
- Valid California BSIS Guard Card or the ability to obtain one upon hire.
- First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
