Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols of residential properties, identifying and reporting any suspicious activities or security breaches.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems, responding promptly to alerts and potential threats.
  • Control access points, verifying identity of visitors and contractors as per established procedures.
  • Document and report all incidents, disturbances, or unusual occurrences accurately and thoroughly in daily logs.
  • Provide assistance to residents and visitors with security-related inquiries or concerns, maintaining a friendly yet professional demeanor.
  • Enforce property rules and regulations to maintain a safe and orderly environment for all residents.
  • Respond to emergency situations, including medical emergencies, fires, and alarms, following proper protocols and contacting appropriate authorities.
  • Collaborate effectively with other security personnel, property management, and local law enforcement as needed to ensure coordinated security efforts.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent observational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure or emergency situations.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic computer proficiency for report writing and monitoring security systems.
  • Ability to walk, stand, and perform duties outdoors for extended periods, regardless of weather conditions.
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a customer service, security, or public-facing role.
  • Valid California BSIS Guard Card or the ability to obtain one upon hire.
  • First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
  • Knowledge of basic security procedures and principles.
  • Experience with security software and monitoring tools.
