Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior locksmiths in the installation, repair, and maintenance of various types of locks and security devices.
- Learn to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve common lock and key issues under supervision.
- Perform basic rekeying, master keying, and key duplication tasks.
- Respond to service calls for lockouts, broken keys, and other security-related emergencies within the airport grounds.
- Maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies, ensuring their proper care and calibration.
- Adhere strictly to all security protocols, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Document work performed, including parts used, time spent, and issues resolved.
- Conduct routine inspections of locking mechanisms to ensure optimal functionality and security.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance locksmithing skills and knowledge.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
