As an HR Data Assistant, you will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our HR information systems, including our HRIS and ATS platforms. You will be responsible for a wide array of data-related tasks, from accurately inputting and verifying new hire information, employee changes, and termination details, to extracting, transforming, and loading data for various HR projects. Your keen eye for detail and analytical mind will ensure that our HR data is not only current but also clean, consistent, and presented in a way that aids informed decision-making across all levels of the company. You will regularly generate comprehensive reports on key HR metrics such as headcount, turnover, and recruitment pipeline, providing valuable insights to HR leadership and department managers.

Key Responsibilities
- Accurately input, update, and maintain employee data in the HRIS and other HR systems.
- Generate scheduled and ad-hoc HR reports, dashboards, and data analyses for various stakeholders.
- Conduct regular data audits to ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance.
- Assist with data migration and system configuration projects.
- Support HR team members with data extraction and preparation for HR initiatives (e.g., performance reviews, benefits enrollment).
- Ensure strict adherence to data confidentiality and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, PIPEDA).
- Identify and recommend improvements for HR data processes and system utilization.
- Collaborate with HR Generalists, Talent Acquisition, and Payroll to ensure seamless data flow.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with HR Information Systems (HRIS) such as ADP, Workday, BambooHR, or similar platforms.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis functions).
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education (diploma or degree) in Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in an HR administration or data-focused role.
- Familiarity with Canadian employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other HR technology.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
