Key Responsibilities
- Process a variety of customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, cheque cashing, loan payments, and money transfers.
- Maintain an accurate cash drawer, balancing daily transactions and ensuring adherence to cash handling procedures and security policies.
- Identify customer needs and effectively cross-sell or refer appropriate banking products and services, such as savings accounts, loans, and digital banking solutions.
- Provide exceptional customer service, resolving inquiries, addressing concerns, and building lasting relationships with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Adhere to all regulatory compliance requirements, internal policies, and procedures to minimize risk and ensure operational integrity.
- Assist customers with account inquiries, statement requests, and basic problem-solving regarding their banking services.
- Perform administrative duties as required, including filing, record-keeping, and maintaining an organised workstation.
- Actively participate in branch team meetings and training sessions to enhance product knowledge and service delivery skills.
- Promote a positive and welcoming branch environment, ensuring all customers feel valued and well-supported during their visit.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably within a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and the ability to learn new banking software quickly.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- A proactive and positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Bank Teller or in a financial services environment.
