Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking a dedicated and thorough Quality Assurance Analyst with a strong focus on manual testing to join our dynamic team in Cedarvale-Humewood, Toronto. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases for new and existing product features.
- Perform thorough manual testing across various platforms and environments (web, mobile, desktop applications) to ensure product quality and integrity.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track bugs using designated defect tracking tools, working closely with development teams to resolve them.
- Participate in requirement reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning meetings to ensure testability of features and alignment with business objectives.
- Conduct regression testing, exploratory testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate fixes and ensure overall system stability.
- Collaborate with product owners to clarify requirements and user stories, ensuring a clear understanding of expected functionality.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and tools.
- Provide clear and concise status reports on testing progress, risks, and defects to project stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst with a strong emphasis on manual testing.
- Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Hands-on experience with defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) and test management tools.
- Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.
- Familiarity with various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent QA certification.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Basic understanding of SQL queries for database testing.
- Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and browser developer tools.
- Experience testing APIs using tools like Postman or Swagger.
