Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage civil engineering design, planning, and construction phases for international projects.
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments in diverse geographical settings.
- Develop and review engineering drawings, specifications, and project proposals in accordance with international standards.
- Oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality standards, budgetary constraints, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, sub-contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
- Manage project documentation, reporting progress, and addressing technical challenges as they arise.
- Ensure compliance with local and international building codes, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Engage with local communities and stakeholders to ensure project alignment with regional development goals.
- Implement sustainable engineering practices and innovative solutions to enhance project efficiency and environmental stewardship.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in civil engineering roles, with at least 2 years in an international or overseas project environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and engineering analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Valid passport and ability to travel and work extensively overseas.
- Knowledge of international building codes and standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent international certification.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience with FIDIC contracts and international project delivery methods.
