Job Description
Hiring.zycto is actively seeking dedicated and professional Full-Time Coach Drivers to join our expanding team in Kensington, Calgary. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced driver who is passionate about safe, efficient, and comfortable passenger transport. As a Coach Driver, you will be the face of our company, responsible for operating our modern fleet of coaches for various assignments including, but not limited to, corporate charters, sightseeing tours, inter-city routes, and special event transportation. We are looking for individuals with an impeccable driving record, strong customer service skills, and a commitment to punctuality and safety. You will be entrusted with ensuring the well-being of our passengers, providing a pleasant journey, and upholding the highest standards of professionalism at all times. This role involves comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections, adherence to all traffic laws and company policies, accurate logbook management, and effective communication with dispatch and passengers. Our routes can vary, offering diverse experiences and challenges for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities
- Operate motor coaches safely and efficiently for various routes including tours, charters, and scheduled services.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, documenting any defects or maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all local, provincial, and federal transportation regulations, including hours of service rules.
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting passengers with boarding, disembarking, and luggage handling.
- Maintain accurate records, including logbooks, manifests, and inspection reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route progress, delays, and any unforeseen issues.
- Ensure the cleanliness and comfort of the coach interior.
- Handle passenger inquiries, provide relevant information, and resolve minor issues professionally.
- Respond calmly and effectively to emergency situations, adhering to company safety protocols.
- Manage time effectively to ensure on-time arrivals and departures.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 1 or Class 2 Driver's License with Air Brake Endorsement (or equivalent in Alberta).
- Clean Driver's Abstract and Commercial Vehicle Operator's Registration (CVOR) record.
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial driving experience.
- Proven track record of safe driving practices.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong geographical knowledge of Calgary and surrounding areas.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting luggage and prolonged sitting.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Coach Driver or Tour Bus Operator.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Knowledge of multiple languages.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor roadside adjustments.
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
