As a Street Cleaner, you will be an essential part of maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike. This role is physically active and primarily performed outdoors, requiring an individual who is comfortable working in various weather conditions and enjoys hands-on tasks. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that public spaces, sidewalks, parks, and roadways are free from litter, debris, and other unsightly materials. Key Responsibilities
- Collect and dispose of litter, debris, and waste from streets, sidewalks, public areas, and parks.
- Operate manual cleaning equipment such as brooms, shovels, litter pickers, and hand carts.
- Empty and clean public waste receptacles and recycling bins.
- Perform routine sweeping and scrubbing of paved surfaces.
- Identify and report any hazards, illegal dumping, graffiti, or maintenance issues to supervisors.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with the public.
- Ensure all assigned areas are cleaned to the highest standards.
- Participate in seasonal cleaning campaigns as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Strong work ethic and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Ability to work effectively outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow).
