Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a company vehicle for daily milk and dairy product deliveries.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles accurately and carefully, ensuring product integrity.
- Plan and follow assigned delivery routes, adhering to strict schedules and timelines.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
- Collect payments or obtain signatures as required, accurately processing all delivery paperwork.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle and associated equipment.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times.
- Manage delivery documentation, including invoices, manifests, and proof of delivery.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 5 (or equivalent) driver's license with a clean driving abstract
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout a shift
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills for handling paperwork and deliveries
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Calgary streets and surrounding areas (especially Marda Loop)
- Previous experience in a customer service-oriented role
