As an Airport Security Screener, you will be an essential guardian, responsible for ensuring that all passengers, their carry-on luggage, and checked baggage comply with stringent transportation security regulations. You will be tasked with operating advanced security equipment, including state-of-the-art X-ray machines, walk-through metal detectors, and explosive trace detection devices, interpreting complex scans, and conducting thorough physical inspections and pat-downs when necessary, always with respect and professionalism. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor advanced security screening equipment (X-ray, metal detectors, ETD).
  • Conduct thorough physical searches and pat-downs of passengers and their belongings.
  • Identify and detect prohibited items, dangerous goods, and potential threats.
  • Verify passenger identification and boarding passes.
  • Enforce strict adherence to all aviation security regulations and protocols.
  • Provide clear, professional, and courteous instructions to passengers.
  • Respond effectively to security incidents and emergency situations.
  • Maintain meticulous records and complete incident reports as required.
  • Collaborate with airport authorities, law enforcement, and airline personnel.
  • Adhere to rotational shift schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum 12 months experience in a public-facing role (e.g., customer service, retail, security).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary security clearances and certifications.
  • Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English (verbal and written).
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform pat-down searches.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated integrity, reliability, and sound judgment.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older and legally entitled to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications
