Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with a range of physical conditions, injuries, and disabilities.
  • Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, electrotherapy, and patient education.
  • Monitor patient progress, modify treatment plans as necessary, and document all aspects of care accurately and comprehensively.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic and coordinated patient care.
  • Adhere to professional and ethical standards, as well as local healthcare regulations and best practices in the host country.
  • Actively participate in continuous professional development, training, and educational activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Provide guidance and support to patients and their families on self-management strategies and prevention of re-injury.
  • Contribute to the positive reputation and clinical excellence of the host healthcare institution.

Required Skills

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent recognized physiotherapy qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification clinical experience in a hospital or private practice setting.
  • Excellent diagnostic, assessment, and treatment planning abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with diverse patients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English (additional language skills are a plus).
  • Adaptability and resilience to work in new cultural and healthcare environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specialization or advanced certifications in a specific area of physiotherapy (e.g., orthopedics, neurology, sports medicine).
  • Previous experience working or studying abroad.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems specific to international healthcare settings.
  • Eligibility for registration with regulatory bodies in target countries (e.g., HCPC, AHPRA, CPSO).
  • Research experience or contributions to academic publications in physiotherapy.
