Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service flow, efficiency, and adherence to established operational standards.
- Supervise, train, and mentor front-of-house staff, fostering a positive, productive, and high-performance team environment focused on guest satisfaction.
- Monitor and maintain exceptional guest service levels, promptly and professionally addressing and resolving any guest feedback or issues.
- Manage staff scheduling, breaks, and task assignments to optimize coverage, efficiency, and service quality during all shifts.
- Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and safe working and dining environment.
- Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and order placement as required, minimizing waste and ensuring product availability.
- Conduct engaging pre-shift briefings and constructive post-shift debriefings to communicate key information, set expectations, and gather feedback.
- Collaborate effectively with the kitchen team and wider management to ensure a cohesive, unified, and high-quality dining experience.
- Accurately handle cash, process various payment methods, and manage end-of-day reconciliation procedures.
- Uphold the restaurant's brand image, ensuring all visual merchandising and presentation standards are consistently met.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in a supervisory role within a reputable full-service restaurant or high-volume hospitality setting.
- Proven leadership and exceptional team management abilities with a strong focus on staff development, motivation, and retention.
- Outstanding customer service and impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written, capable of engaging with diverse guests and staff.
- Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
- Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- In-depth knowledge of food and beverage service standards, best practices, and relevant health and safety regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving aptitude, capable of making quick, sound decisions with a calm and professional demeanor.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, based on business needs.
