Key Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications, verify dosages, and ensure proper labeling.
- Provide comprehensive medication therapy management, including patient counseling on drug interactions, side effects, and adherence.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient profiles and prescription records.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications, and ensure proper storage conditions.
- Adhere strictly to all state and federal regulations, professional practice standards, and company policies.
- Conduct medication utilization reviews and identify potential drug-related problems.
- Oversee pharmacy technicians and support staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to protocols.
- Participate in continuous professional development and training to stay current with pharmaceutical advancements.
- Handle controlled substances in compliance with DEA regulations.
Required Skills
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Current and unrestricted Pharmacist license in Wyoming, or eligibility to obtain one.
- Demonstrated knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and pharmaceutical calculations.
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
