Job Description
Hiring.zycto is on the lookout for a passionate and driven Entry Level 3D Artist to join our growing creative team in Downtown Fall River. As an Entry Level 3D Artist, you will be instrumental in bringing our immersive digital experiences to life, working under the guidance of senior artists and creative directors.
Your primary focus will be on learning and contributing to the creation of high-quality 3D assets, environments, and characters. You’ll be exposed to various stages of the production pipeline, from initial concept interpretation and modeling to texturing, lighting, and rendering. We are seeking someone with a foundational understanding of 3D principles, a keen eye for detail, and a strong desire to learn and grow within a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior artists in modeling, texturing, and unwrapping 3D assets for various projects.
- Follow art direction and technical specifications to ensure consistency and quality.
- Contribute to scene assembly and basic lighting setups.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and creative brainstorming sessions.
- Learn and apply new software, tools, and workflows as guided by the team.
- Review and iterate on work based on feedback from art leads and project managers.
- Maintain organized file structures and adhere to production pipelines.
- Research and gather visual references to support artistic development.
- Actively engage in learning opportunities and mentorship programs.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in at least one industry-standard 3D software (e.g., Blender, Maya, 3ds Max).
- Basic understanding of 3D modeling, UV mapping, and texturing principles.
- Fundamental knowledge of PBR workflows and materials.
- A strong portfolio showcasing personal or academic 3D projects.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to take constructive criticism and adapt quickly.
- A genuine passion for 3D art and digital media.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Digital Media, Game Design, or a related field.
- Familiarity with ZBrush, Substance Painter/Designer, or Unreal Engine/Unity.
- Experience with basic rigging and animation concepts.
- Knowledge of traditional art fundamentals (anatomy, perspective, color theory).
