Key Responsibilities
- Monitor multiple CCTV screens simultaneously, maintaining constant vigilance for any unusual or suspicious activities across various client sites.
- Operate and manipulate CCTV cameras, digital recording systems, and other associated equipment to capture clear footage of incidents.
- Analyze and interpret complex visual information to identify potential threats, breaches, or emergency situations.
- Accurately document all observations, incidents, and actions taken in detailed reports, ensuring precision and completeness.
- Communicate effectively and promptly with on-site security personnel, management, and emergency services (police, fire, ambulance) as required.
- Adhere strictly to company policies, operational procedures, and relevant data protection regulations.
- Perform regular system checks to ensure all CCTV equipment is fully operational and report any malfunctions or technical issues.
- Provide recorded footage and incident reports to authorized personnel for investigations or evidence collection.
- Assist in the training of new operators by sharing best practices and operational insights.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience as a CCTV Operator or in a similar surveillance role.
- Proficiency in operating various CCTV monitoring software and digital video recording (DVR/NVR) systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong observational skills.
- Ability to concentrate and maintain vigilance for extended periods.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities, especially under pressure.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to navigate security software interfaces.
- Strong understanding of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., Security Guard License in Ontario).
- Experience with advanced analytics features in surveillance systems.
