Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems for anomalies, breaches, and potential threats, initiating timely responses.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security weaknesses.
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with industry best practices.
- Conduct thorough incident response investigations, including forensic analysis and recovery efforts.
- Implement and manage security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), SIEM, and endpoint protection.
- Provide expert guidance on security architecture and design for new systems and applications.
- Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to continuously improve our security posture.
- Educate and train employees on cybersecurity best practices and awareness.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001) and internal policies.
- Collaborate with IT, development, and operations teams to integrate security into the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Required Skills
- Proficiency in security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and network security concepts.
- Experience with vulnerability management, penetration testing, and security auditing tools.
- Familiarity with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of operating system security (Windows, Linux, macOS).
- Expertise in incident response methodologies and digital forensics.
- Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
