Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior filmmakers with research, pre-production planning, and logistical coordination for documentary projects.
- Operate and maintain basic camera and audio equipment during field shoots and studio sessions.
- Support the post-production team by organizing footage, creating rough cuts, and assisting with editing tasks.
- Conduct interviews, gather B-roll footage, and capture ambient sounds as directed.
- Contribute to script development, storyboard creation, and shot list preparation.
- Manage and archive digital assets, ensuring proper categorization and accessibility.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions, offering fresh perspectives and creative ideas for new projects.
- Adhere to project timelines and deliverables, ensuring high-quality output.
- Learn and apply best practices in ethical filmmaking and data privacy.
- Travel to various locations, sometimes in remote areas, as required for production.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of filmmaking principles and documentary genres.
- Familiarity with digital camera operation and basic audio recording techniques.
