Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and motivate a team of housekeeping attendants, ensuring adherence to company standards and procedures.
- Inspect guest rooms, common areas, and facilities to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, tidiness, and maintenance.
- Develop and implement efficient cleaning schedules and routines to maximize productivity.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities, ordering replacements as needed to prevent shortages.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Address and resolve guest complaints or requests regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
- Ensure all housekeeping equipment is properly maintained and safely operated.
- Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new housekeeping staff.
- Monitor and control departmental expenses in line with budget guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of housekeeping activities, including inspections, inventory, and staff attendance.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including COSHH guidelines.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Front Office, Maintenance) to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience in a supervisory role within housekeeping or hospitality.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work under pressure.
- Proficiency in inventory management and ordering.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures (COSHH).
- Problem-solving skills and ability to make quick, effective decisions.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Experience with housekeeping management software.
