Job Description

Hiring.zycto is on the lookout for a highly organized and proactive HR Coordinator with strong administrative support skills to join our team in the heart of Vancouver’s Central Business District. This pivotal role will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our Human Resources department, touching on various facets of the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding, and everything in between. You will serve as the first point of contact for many employee inquiries, providing accurate information and compassionate guidance. Your day-to-day will involve a mix of administrative tasks, data management, and direct support to both employees and HR leadership. You’ll be central to maintaining our HR records, coordinating interviews, assisting with benefit administration, and helping to organize company events that foster our vibrant culture. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR department, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and preparing presentations.
  • Assist with the full cycle of recruitment, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating pre-employment checks.
  • Facilitate the new hire onboarding process, ensuring all documentation is completed, systems access is granted, and new employees feel welcomed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and other databases.
  • Support HR programs such as performance management, employee relations, and benefits administration.
  • Respond to general employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist in the coordination and organization of company events, training sessions, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Prepare HR-related reports and presentations as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and company policies.
  • Process HR-related invoices and expense reports.
  • Support the offboarding process for departing employees.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as an HR Coordinator or administrative assistant in an HR department.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles and practices.
  • Proficiency with HRIS software and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-service oriented approach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • HR certification (e.g., CPHR, SHRM-CP) is an asset.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced or rapidly growing organization.
  • Familiarity with Canadian employment law and regulations.
  • A proactive attitude and a willingness to take initiative.
