Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the day-to-day operations and management of assigned residential and commercial properties.
  • Support tenant relations, including promptly responding to inquiries, processing requests, and resolving minor issues.
  • Aid in the preparation, review, and administration of lease agreements and renewals.
  • Coordinate and schedule maintenance and repair work with external vendors and internal teams, ensuring timely completion.
  • Conduct regular property inspections, documenting conditions and reporting findings to senior management.
  • Assist with financial administrative tasks such as rent collection, invoice processing, and basic budget tracking.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date property records, tenant files, and digital databases.
  • Contribute to marketing and leasing efforts for vacant units, including showing properties and preparing documentation.
  • Learn, understand, and adhere to all relevant property laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective tenant and vendor interaction.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for administrative duties.
  • High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail in record-keeping and documentation.
  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt to new systems, software, and processes with enthusiasm.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a strong work ethic, eager to contribute and grow.
  • Demonstrated customer service-oriented mindset, committed to tenant satisfaction.
  • Ability to work both independently on tasks and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Real Estate, Property Management, or a related field.
  • Previous administrative, customer service, or hospitality experience in a professional setting.
  • Familiarity with property management software (e.g., Yardi, Buildium, AppFolio) is considered an asset.
  • Basic knowledge of residential tenancy acts and property regulations in Ontario.
  • Valid G Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle for property visits.
