Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in all training sessions and demonstrate a proactive approach to learning machine operation, safety protocols, and quality control procedures.
- Assist experienced machine operators in the setup, calibration, and operation of various production machines according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor machine performance diligently during operation, identifying and reporting any anomalies, malfunctions, or potential issues promptly to supervisors.
- Perform routine quality checks on produced items, ensuring they consistently meet specified standards, tolerances, and quality specifications.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines, lockout/tagout procedures, and company policies to maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment.
- Assist with basic machine maintenance, cleaning tasks, and troubleshooting under the direction of skilled technicians or supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation and actively contribute to the overall cleanliness and organization of the shop floor.
- Collaborate effectively and communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to achieve daily production goals and deadlines.
- Accurately record production data, complete necessary documentation, and maintain logs as required for quality assurance and tracking.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to health, safety, environmental compliance, and ethical conduct.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, understanding both written and verbal instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a genuine eagerness to learn how to operate and maintain complex industrial machinery.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a steadfast commitment to producing high-quality work with minimal errors.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously, work both independently and as a valued part of a collaborative team.
- Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to perform measurements and simple calculations accurately.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move up to 25 kg regularly, and perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing setting.
- A strong personal commitment to workplace safety, strict adherence to all safety guidelines, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in any manufacturing, production, or general labor environment is considered an asset but is not mandatory.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented attitude.
- Prior forklift certification or a willingness to obtain certification through company training.
