As a Night Watchman, you will be the eyes and ears of the property during critical hours, playing a vital role in preventing unauthorized access, detecting potential hazards, and ensuring the smooth operation of site activities. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises, both internal and external, during assigned shifts.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect and prevent unauthorized access or suspicious activities.
- Check and secure all doors, windows, and gates to ensure the perimeter is protected.
- Respond promptly to alarms and investigate disturbances.
- Document all incidents, observations, and activities in a detailed logbook or digital report.
- Report any security breaches, maintenance issues, or safety hazards to appropriate personnel.
- Provide a visible presence to deter crime and maintain a safe environment.
- Assist with emergency procedures, including evacuations, as required.
- Adhere to all company policies and security protocols.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Basic communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods.
- Must be eligible to work legally in Canada.
