Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Owner to join our growing team in Deer Park, Toronto. In this critical role, you will be the linchpin between our strategic vision, customer needs, and the development team, driving the creation of impactful digital products. As an Agile Product Owner, you will be responsible for defining and prioritizing the product backlog, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives, and maximizing the value delivered by the development team. You will champion the product vision, articulate user stories, and collaborate continuously with stakeholders and engineers throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Define and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business goals.
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring stories are well-defined, estimated, and ready for development.
- Translate high-level product requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Serve as the primary liaison between stakeholders (business, sales, marketing, customer support) and the development team.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to ensure an optimal user experience.
- Monitor product performance, gather feedback, and iterate on features to continuously improve the product.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
- Facilitate decision-making and resolve conflicts within the team to keep development on track.
- Communicate product updates, risks, and progress to all relevant stakeholders.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in an Agile environment.
- Proven experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to define and prioritize product features based on business value and user needs.
- Experience with product backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strategic thinking with a customer-centric mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) certification.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or other scaling frameworks.
- Background in SaaS or enterprise software product development.
- Familiarity with UX/UI principles and design thinking methodologies.
