Job Description
The Sommelier at Hiring.zycto is a pivotal role, responsible for elevating our guests’ dining experience through expert wine service and an impeccably curated wine program. You will be the resident authority on all things vinous, engaging with guests to understand their preferences, guiding them through our extensive cellar, and recommending perfect pairings that complement our exquisite menu. Key Responsibilities
- Curate, maintain, and continuously develop an extensive and balanced wine list.
- Provide expert, engaging, and personalized wine recommendations to guests.
- Manage wine inventory, procurement, storage, and cost control effectively.
- Conduct regular wine tastings and training for service staff.
- Collaborate with the culinary team on wine and food pairings.
- Maintain cellar conditions to ensure optimal wine aging and preservation.
- Handle guest inquiries and feedback regarding wine with professionalism.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant liquor licensing and service regulations.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, new releases, and market dynamics.
- Assist in special events and private dining experiences as needed.
Required Skills
- Advanced knowledge of viticulture, enology, and global wine regions.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage a comprehensive wine program, including inventory and purchasing.
- Strong sales and upselling abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail in presentation and service.

- Proficiency in POS systems and inventory software.
- Must be able to lift and carry wine cases (up to 40 lbs).
Preferred Qualifications
