Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of train interiors, including seats, floors, windows, and all surfaces.
- Sanitize high-touch areas such as handrails, door handles, and restroom facilities to prevent germ spread.
- Remove trash, recycling, and dispose of waste according to established company and environmental procedures.
- Clean exterior surfaces of train carriages, including windows and bodywork, using appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions.
- Restock amenities such as toilet paper, hand soap, and air fresheners in onboard facilities.
- Operate and maintain various cleaning equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and reporting any malfunctions.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Report any damages, maintenance issues, or unusual findings observed during cleaning to the shift supervisor promptly.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure all assigned tasks are completed efficiently within the night shift timeframe.
- Follow specific cleaning checklists and schedules to maintain consistent and high-quality standards across the fleet.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively and consistently during night hours (e.g., 10 PM – 6 AM).
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting (up to 25 lbs), pushing, pulling, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential for shift work and team coordination.
- Basic understanding of health and safety protocols, particularly in a cleaning and industrial context.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently as well as part of a cohesive team.
- Effective communication skills (verbal) to coordinate with colleagues and supervisors.

- Previous experience in commercial, industrial, or transportation cleaning environments.
