Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and imaginative Video Editor to join our growing creative team in The Junction, Toronto. Your role will involve everything from initial concept discussions and footage review to final delivery, encompassing cutting, sequencing, audio mixing, color correction, and the integration of graphics and special effects. We’re looking for someone who can not only execute edits with precision but also contribute creatively to the conceptualization phase, offering innovative solutions and pushing the visual boundaries of our projects. Key Responsibilities
- Edit raw footage into polished, high-quality video content for a diverse range of projects and platforms.
- Collaborate closely with producers, directors, and clients to understand project scope, objectives, and creative vision.
- Apply advanced color correction, audio mixing, and sound design techniques to enhance visual and auditory appeal.
- Integrate motion graphics, visual effects, and text overlays to deliver dynamic and engaging narratives.
- Manage and organize media assets, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines.
- Contribute creative ideas and solutions during concept development and post-production phases.
- Stay current with industry trends, software advancements, and best practices in video editing and production.
- Ensure all final deliverables meet technical specifications and brand guidelines.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition)
- Strong understanding of video editing principles, pacing, and visual storytelling techniques
- Expertise in color grading and correction
- Solid knowledge of audio mixing and sound design
- Experience with various video formats, codecs, and delivery specifications
